Georgia is an Occupational Hygienist with over 4 years of professional experience in the identification and control of workplace health risks.  She is a a Provisional Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists, Inc. (AIOH).  

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Science (Class 1 Hons) and is currently completing a Master of Occupational Hygiene at the University of Wollongong.   In 2020, Georgia was awarded the Safe Work Australia Scholars of Worker Protection Award presented as part of the AIOH Professional Development Awards.

Georgia joins Hypex with vast experience gained whilst working onsite and at state company levels to recognise and mitigate work health risks, on projects such as the Sydney Metro Tunnel,
Stations and Excavations (TSE) Works and Westconnex New M5 Tunnel (M8).  Georgia has also worked with CPB Contractors to review the new health risk management system for civil construction sites, and created a baseline health risk assessment for project’s identification of health risks and preliminary controls.  In addition to her professional experience, Georgia has also
completed an undergraduate program with the Mount Isa Mines Occupational Hygiene team, where she conducted a respirator knowledge and use study to inform the mine’s review of the Occupational Health program. 

Georgia is a RESP-FIT Accredited Fit Tester and is accredited to conduct
respirator fit testing via the following methods:

  • Qualitative (QLFT) – Aerosol Taste Test (ATT) 
  • Quantitative (QNTF) – Ambient Aerosol Condensation Nuclei-Counting (CNC)

Georgia’s varied experience, interpersonal skills and passion for occupational health enable her to
effectively engage people at all levels of an organisation and identify and communicate practical solutions for clients and their employees.
